SeaWolves 1, RubberDucks 0: Miles Jaye retires 25 consecutive Ducks, wins pitchers duel with Rob Kaminsky

SeaWolves 1, RubberDucks 0

The RubberDucks’ first batter of the game, Jordan Smith, hit a double.

The 7,543 fans at Canal Park then had to wait 25 more Duck hitters before they saw another hometown hit, as Erie starter Myles Jaye held the Ducks in check.

With one out in the bottom of the ninth, and the SeaWolves clinging to a one-run lead, Jaye surrendered a single to Ivan Castillo, ending his outing.

Joe Jimenez came on and threw four pitches before getting Smith to ground into a game-ending double play.

Jaye (4-6) struck out 11, gave up the two hits and did not walk anyone.
