If you were to put odds on what Indians player would hit an inside the park homer this season, you probably wouldn’t put a lot of dough on slugger Edwin Encarnacion to accomplish the feat.
Well, the Tribe power hitter did something totally unexpected on Monday night, hitting his 3rd homer of the season, and yes, it was an inside the park round tripper.
The hit came in the top of the second, and not only was it an inside the park homer, Encarnacion crossed home plate standing.
Here’s video of the homer if you missed it (or went to bed early), along with some twitter reaction:
AN INSIDE-THE-PARK PARROT FOR EDWIN!
