Lindor opened the scoring with a homer to left in the first, followed by Santana's shot during a four-run second. The Indians jumped on Angels starter David Huff, who allowed five runs (two earned) over 1 2/3 innings. In the ninth, Santana homered down the right-field line to extend the Indians' lead to 8-2.
Indians right-hander Danny Salazar was strong before running into trouble in the sixth, as he gave up a run on three hits over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out the Angels, who have the fewest strikeouts in the Majors, eight times to hand them their sixth loss in their last seven games.
