CLEVELAND, Ohio a Word of the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game coming to Progressive Field immediately conjured memories of the last time the Midsummer Classic was held in Cleveland. The 1997 affair that featured more than a dozen future members of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Of course, Cleveland fans remember the game for Sandy Alomar Jras MVP performance and game-winning home run, but the level of talent in both dugouts on the night of July 8, 1997 was staggering.
From recently-elected Hall members Ivan Rodriguez and Jeff Bagwell to all-time sluggers Mike Piazza, Frank Thomas and Ken Griffey Jr.
