GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The competition for the last two spots in the Indians' rotation has already hit a snag. On Thursday, when Cleveland held its first official workout for pitchers and catchers, the team announced that right-hander Danny Salazar is a couple of weeks behind the rest of the arms in camp.
Salazar experienced right rotator cuff inflammation while working through his offseason throwing program in mid-January and was evaluated and shut down by the team. Indians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti noted that Salazar has resumed a throwing program.
"He's now back throwing.
