DETROIT -- The Indians continued their perfect record against the Tigers with a 7-4 win Friday night at Comerica Park, but it took a highlight catch by former Tiger Rajai Davis to do it. He ran down Miguel Cabrera's drive to deep right-center field with one out in the ninth, starting a game-ending double play.
A strikeout-error and back-to-back singles scored a run off Indians closer Cody Allen and brought up the potential tying run in Cabrera, who had grounded into two double plays earlier in the night. Davis, a Tigers outfielder the last two years before signing with Cleveland as a free agent, chased down Cabrera's drive in the deepest part of right-center.
