RubberDucks owner Ken Babby has a 'Field of Dreams' moment in Akron and remains on the go as All Star game nears (video)

AKRON, Ohio - When Canal Park hosts the Eastern League All-Star game Wednesday, July 13, it will cap several years of targeted efforts from Akron RubberDucks owner Ken Babby and his staff. Babby's background is a focused mesh: His father represented athletes, so he grew up with more than a modicum of understanding about the business. He held a variety of key executive positions at The Washington Post. He sits on a variety of boards. Under his ownership, attendance has increased steadily. And a year he ago, he bought the Jacksonville Suns, the Miami Marlins' Class AA team.
