Tribe catcher Eric Haase drove in a pair of runs with a 1st-inning single, while center fielder Trayce Thompson connected for his second home run of the spring off Rangers southpaw Drew Smyly – a solo shot in the 3rd inning.
Haase (.364, 8-22, 10 RBI) and Thompson (.308, 12-39, 8RBI) are both hitting above .300 for the spring, while RF Jordan Luplow is heating up, as he’s 5-for-his-last-14 (.357) after collecting one of the Tribe’s 10 hits.
