Raburn exits with left knee contusion

ARLINGTON -- Ryan Raburn left Friday night's game against the Rangers in the fifth inning for precautionary reasons, three innings after suffering a left knee contusion running into the left-field wall while making a spectacular catch.

With runners on the first and second, Shin-Soo Choo sent a Bruce Chen pitch deep into left-center field. Raburn raced to the gap and made a fantastic over-the-shoulder catch to rob Choo of extra bases. Still sprinting when he made the grab, Raburn ran full speed into the left-field wall a step after making the catch.

Raburn waved off team trainer James Quinlan and manager Terry Francona, but they trotted out to visit with him anyway.
