President Chris Antonetti, GM Mike Chernoff, manager Terry Francona share thoughts on Indians’ 2015 season, 2016 outlook

CLEVELAND: Indians President of Baseball Operations Chris Antonetti, general manager Mike Chernoff and manager Terry Francona all met with the media this week to discuss their views on the 2015 season, the upcoming offseason and the outlook for 2016.

Here are some of the highlights.

The 2015 season

The Indians finished 81-80, clawing back from a poor April to climb above the .500 mark, but missed out on the postseason by 4½ games.

“Obviously, the fact that we’re sitting here today is a disappointment,” Antonetti said. “We set out at the start of the season to be playing postseason baseball, with the goal of ultimately winning the World Series.
