Parmageddon from Melt wins national ballpark food contest

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Melt's Parmageddon has won USA Today's Best Ballpark Food contest, comparing stadium eats in Major League parks.

The grilled-cheese sandwich is stuffed with a potato and onion pierogi, onions and sauerkraut.

Two weeks ago we reported the Parmageddon was leading the finalists. In the end, it won out, with Campo's Philly Cheesesteak from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia finishing second and Ceviche from Marlins Park in Miami coming in third.

The fare definitely including out-of-the-mainstream ballpark options, with tacos, poutine, a crab sandwich and Rocky Mountain Oysters all earning votes.
