CLEVELAND, Ohio – Left fielder Michael Brantley believes he can return to the Indians' lineup this season in time to help the AL Central division leaders.
Brantley has played only 11 games this season because of lingering pain from November surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum. He says a procedure he underwent late last week to break up scar tissue in the front of his right shoulder has helped.
"The latest procedure went well," Brantley told reporters Tuesday before the Indians opened a two-game series against Washington. "It was pretty quick and easy.
