Here’s to a great week!
Braves 11, Indians 5
Sunday night stinker. Shane Bieber was hit hard, lasting just 2 1⁄3 innings and giving up five earned runs (7 runs total). Francisco Lindor did homer at least. With the loss, Cleveland is now 12-9 on the year.
A nice 1-2-3 inning for the catcher, who hit 80+ mph a few times. His career ERA now drops to 9.00.
From Joe Noga:
When Indians closer Brad Hand worked the ninth inning of Saturday’s opening game win in a doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves, manager Terry Francona made the decision that the 29-year-old lefty would not pitch in the nightcap.
