Here’s to a great week!
Indians 11, Reds 1
Matt in his recap said “Today’s thrashing of the Reds ends the first half on a high note.” Spot on. The Tribe’s bats were scorching, hitting four home runs and driving baseballs all around southern Ohio. Trevor Bauer gutted through seven innings, working out of many-a-jam to hold the Reds to just one run.
Allen had four hits, including a homer, and a fantastic catch out in centerfield on Sunday. He’s had a mostly awful year at the big league level, but he’s still young and days like yesterday show he’s got some ceiling to cheer for.
