Cleveland Indians lefty reliever Nick Hagadone will be out for 6-9 months following surgery on his left elbow, MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian has reported. The surgery came after Hagadone received a second opinion on an apparent elbow injury he suffered during a rehab start last week while attempting to come back from an unrelated back injury.
Hagadone underwent surgery to "stabilize a fractured medial epicondyle bone in his left elbow," on Thursday, effectively ending his season. The procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews, who performed a similar surgery on A’s starter Jarrod Parker in May.
