News and Notes: Harder Than It Should Be, But Got the W

The Guardians scored early and got six perfect innings from Joey Cantillo, beating the worst team in MLB history 5-3.

Cantillo was absolutely dominant going seven innings, giving up two hits, no walks, one run and striking out 10. This was a needed boost to the Guardians as they seek to manage Alex Cobb's blister. Ben Lively will start today as we all pray that Cobb is healthy enough to take a turn vs the Rays in Cleveland this weekend. Nick Sandlin gave up a bomb in the 8th, forcing Gaddis and Clase to close the game out.
