Catcher Austin Hedges and the Cleveland Guardians are in agreement on a one-year contract, sources tell ESPN. He’ll return to the Guardians as a backup for Bo Naylor.

I know there are Hedges’ detractors everywhere, but when the entire team is telling you that he’s an invaluable presence in the clubhouse, I can’t help but see this as a win. IF they are committed to keeping him at around 150-200 at most plate appearances for the year AND making sure they add another catcher (Kody Huff, Cooper Ingle?
