CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It happened fast on a sultry Thursday night at Progressive Field.
One moment the Indians had a 2-0 lead and Trevor Bauer was cruising. The next moment, the Yankees were stringing together hits on the way to a 5-4 victory as the Indians continue to steer a crooked path toward the All-Star break.
Tyler Naquin and Jason Kipnis gave the Indians a 2-0 lead with homers in the third inning against Ivan Nova. Bauer, in tune with his offense, allowed just two runners to reach base through the first four innings.
Naquin's homer was his eighth of the season, tying him for third among AL rookies.
