When it comes to the rules of the game, Major League Baseball is right to admit impediments and alter when it alteration finds. It is a game that we love, and as technology, the fans, and players evolve, so too should the rules that govern its play.
A few proposals are on the docket for various levels of baseball this season. One of those proposed — starting extra innings with a runner on second base, (which guarantees a sacrifice bunt in most circumstances [and we all love those]) — met with mockery, scorn, and calls for beheading by sickle.
