The MLB First-Year Player Draft is an opportunity for teams to reload their respective farm systems with the best high school and collegiate players available. For a lot of players, the trip to the big leagues never becomes a reality; for some, they will eventually become Major League starters, All-stars, and potentially even Hall of Fame members.
