The Columbus Clippers had themselves a fantastic night. Doug Nikhazy took the mound and earned his 6th win. Nikhazy went 6.0 IP, walking 2 and giving up 3 hits. The sole run allowed by Nikhazy was given up in the first inning. From there on he was locked in, striking out 8. Nikhazy’s ERA is getting closer to 3.00 after every start. He is currently sitting at a 3.12 ERA.
James Karinchak made another appearance with the Clippers, pitching the seventh inning and striking out 1 batter.
