Thanks again Angels!
Indians’ starter Mike Clevinger was excellent on Thursday afternoon, allowing just one earned run over seven innings, striking out a career-high 11 and walking just one White Sox in the Tribe’s 5-2 victory.
Clevinger, who was acquired from the Angels in 2014 for reliever Vinnie Pestano in what was another highway robbery for the Cleveland front office, was very efficient in his 14th start of the year. The right-hander typically works higher-than-ideal pitch counts, limiting how deep into games he can go, but used just 99 pitches to get through his seven innings Thursday.
