Marlon Byrd's latest failed test isn't going over well with the pitchers he faced: Zack Meisel's musings

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jason Kipnis jumped into Yan Gomes' arms and the two tumbled to the ground. Chris Gimenez piled on first and the rest of their Tribe teammates followed.

Gomes needed it. The Indians needed it.

The catcher's walk-off single capped a long, emotionally draining day for the club. It started with news of Marlon Byrd's career-ending 162-game suspension. It ended with a blown save and, two innings later, the Indians' first walk-off victory of the season.

"It's a good end to a really long day," said manager Terry Francona. "You can't help but have emotions when you're dealing with some of the stuff we did.
