CLEVELAND, Ohio – Anthony Santander has been in the Cleveland Indians organization since 2011 when he was signed out of Venezuela at the age of 16. He's been considered a top prospect, but it's taken time.
Santander had a 12-game hitting streak stopped in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday (the first game was the completion of a suspended game from Wednesday). Santander is hitting .359 over his last 10 games and has his season average up to .281. He's had at least one hit in 20 of his last 22 games.
Santander hit his 11th homer in the suspended game Thursday.
