CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Akron outfielder Luigi Rodriguez had a big day for the RubberDucks last week as he was the doubleheader catalyst that saw Akron topple the Portland Sea Dogs 21-4 and 7-6 on the road in a pair of seven-inning games.
The 5-11, 160-pound Rodriguez, 24, went a combined 7-for-8 in the twin games with two homers, three doubles and four RBI. To put those numbers in perspective for the undrafted free agent (2009) from the Dominican Republic, that's half of his eight RBI on the season, two of this three homers, three of his five doubles and one third of his 21 hits in 19 games played for the RubberDucks this season.
