The Columbus Clippers could not take advantage of 14 hits as a team (six doubles) and two Indianapolis errors, scoring a measly 3 runs due to going a horrific 2-14 with runners in scoring position.
The Clippers didn’t ground into any double plays, didn’t have anyone get caught stealing or picked off, they simply couldn’t take advantage of the ridiculous amount of opportunities they had.
Greg Allen, Francisco Mejia, Richie Shaffer and Brandon Barnes all went 2-5 with a double while Nellie Rodriguez went 2-4 with an RBI.
