CLEVELAND -- Leonys Martin knows how to make an entrance. If any Indians fans in the Progressive Field stands were still skeptical about the Tribe's newest addition on Saturday night, Martin did his part to win them over against the Angels.
Martin belted a leadoff home run in the sixth inning, snapping a no-hit bid by Angels starter Felix Pena and giving Indians ace Corey Kluber all the support he required in a 3-0 victory. Kluber was overpowering in a shutout for the American League Central-leading Tribe, showing once again why he has two AL Cy Young Awards at home.
