CLEVELAND -- Indians ace Corey Kluber was not bothered by the cold on Monday night. In fact, he thrived in it.
Kluber needed only five innings to reach 10 strikeouts against the Tigers, registering the 40th double-digit strikeout game of his career. The right-hander struck out two batters in the first, second and fourth innings, and he then fanned three straight in the fifth to reach No. 10 on the night.
Kluber, who is the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, ranks third in club history in double-digit strikeout games, trailing only Sam McDowell (74) and Bob Feller (51).
