Kipnis’ 9th Inning Grand Slam Lifts Indians to 4-1 Win Over White Sox; Three Takeaways

CLEVELAND – Thanks to a 9th inning filled with drama, the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 4-1 Wednesday night, lifting their 2018 mark to 85-66 on season.

Jason Kipnis was the hero, as his 1000th career hit was a memorable one, a walk-off grand slam that was the only big hit of the night for the Tribe, sending the Wahoo’s home a winner.

The setback for the White Sox puts them at 59-92 on the season, and the three-game set will wrap up Thursday night at Progressive Field with a 7:10pm first pitch.
