CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jose Ramirez showed tremendous hustle Sunday when he tagged up and scored on a Lonnie Chisenhall pop out in the third inning against Seattle.
With one out and Ramirez at third, Chisenhall sent a weak fly ball to short right field. Robinson Cano caught the ball over his right shoulder with his back to the infield.
Thats when Ramirez tagged up and hustled home with a head-first slide that beat the tag of Mariners catcher Carlos Ruiz.
Ramirez dove around Ruiz and tagged the back point of the plate with his left hand.
