On a night when Cleveland Indians bats finally came to life, it was the Columbus Clippers who went silent. They fell to the Louisville Bats, 7-2, and only Yandy Diaz, Eric Haase, and Todd Hankins were able to muster hits — all singles.
Diaz is riding a seven-game hitting streak and he has nine hits in his last ten games. Unfortunately, he has yet to homer on the season and his only extra base hits are four doubles.
