CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians' Hall of Fame will increase in size by 10 percent on Saturday.
Only one of the four new members will be on hand for the ceremony, though. Jim Thome has his speech prepared. He has his friends and family in town. He will have former teammates Kenny Lofton and Carlos Baerga with him on the infield grass at Progressive Field.
Albert Belle, the surly slugger who anchored some of those renowned '90s Indians lineups, will not be in attendance. Frank Robinson and Charlie Jamieson will also be inducted. Belle told cleveland.com last week he had the month of July set aside for family vacation.
