CLEVELAND, Ohio — Heading into the final two weeks of baseball’s regular season, here is a look at some of the leading candidates for the American League Manager of the Year award.
Texas skipper Jeff Banister won the award in 2015 after leading the Rangers to the West Division title and a playoff run that ended in the AL Division Series. This year, Banister is again among the favorites for the award, with Cleveland manager Terry Francona and Baltimore’s Buck Showalter also ahead of the pack.
