Indians withstand late rally, outlast A’s

What looked like an easy win got a bit dicey in the late going, but in the end the Indians withstood the heat of a late-game A’s rally for a 5-3 Memorial Day victory.

On a day that saw the teams decked out in camo gear, and former Indian Rajai Davis earn his AL Championship ring, Carlos Carrasco was lights-out, pitching six shutout innings before giving up two home runs in the seventh.

Today’s game introduced us to A’s starter Daniel Mengden and his excellent mustache. I was waiting for him to start twirling the ends of it after every strikeout like a villain in a silent movie.
