After Friday’s marathon 18 inning 2-1 win over the Blue Jays and another game against them today, the Indians made another roster move to add a pitcher to the roster.
The team called up lefty pitcher Shawn Morimando from AA Akron, and designated utility man Michael Martinez for assignment.
The 23-year-old Morimando has been with Akron the whole year, and was 10-3 with a 3.09 ERA in 16 games/starts (93.1IP, 77H, 32ER, 36BB, 73SO, .225 avg).
