Indians Starter Trevor Bauer Has Fracture, Placed on DL

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer is heading for the 10-day DL, this after manager Terry Francona said Tuesday he’s got a “small stress fracture” in his right fibula.

The incident which caused the injury came in the 7th inning of his last start against the White Sox Saturday in Chicago when a batted ball from Jose Abreau hit off his leg.

At first Francona said it appeared to be a bruise, but now the team says it’s a dma fracture.

For now Adam Plutko will throw in his place Saturday against the Orioles and Tyler Olsen is also being called up for another arm in the pen.
