The Indians were dealt a tough blow on Wednesday as the team announced that starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco has been placed on the non-baseball, medical condition list after being diagnosed with a blood condition.
The club stated in a release that Carrasco is stepping away from the team to explore treatment and recovery options after feeling lethargic the past few weeks.
“We do not know when Carlos will rejoin the club but expect him back at some point this season. At this time, our primary concern is Carlos’ health and we will respect his wishes to keep this a private matter.
