Indians start strong but sputter, fall to Jays, 8-4

On Friday night at Progressive Field, things looked good, real good, for the Tribe early on. They touched Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman for two runs in each of the first two innings. Meanwhile, Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger looked to be in command, giving up no runs over the first three innings.

But Clev could not hold on to the 4-0 lead, giving it all back in the fourth inning. After striking out the first batter, Clevinger walked the next two Blue Jays. One batter later, a single to left field put the Jays on the board, and then Aledmys Diaz tied the game with a home run to the deepest part of center field.
