The Indians split a pair of games on Wednesday, defeating the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-3, at Goodyear Ballpark, while taking a 17-7 loss to the Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium.
In the game in Goodyear, Indians starter Trevor Bauer mowed down 10 Brewers in just 4.2 innings of work, as he allowed three runs (all on a homer by Keston Hiura in the 5th) in the Indians 9-3 win.
Bauer went 4.2 innings, allowing four hits, three runs, a walk and 10 K’s in the win.
The bullpen did a nice job behind him, as Jon Edwards, Justin Grimm, Tyler Olson and Neil Ramirez all threw scoreless baseball to seal the win.
