The Cleveland Indians have added depth to their catcher position and have signed Ryan Hanigan to a minor league deal, according to reports on Monday.
Hanigan has played with Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, Boston, and Colorado over the span of eleven seasons. Over those eleven seasons, Hanigan has put up a career batting average of .251 while hitting thirty home runs and 214 runs batted in. He’s only appeared in over one hundred games during one season, that being in 2012 with Cincinnati when he played in 112 games.
