CLEVELAND – With the MLB Winter Meetings closing in, the Indians are adding players to the roster, including veteran catcher Anthony Recker, who they inked Friday to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.
The 32-year-old free agent has opened the last four seasons on a Major League roster, splitting the 2015 season between the New York Mets and the Triple-A Las Vegas 51’s.
He began his professional career in 2005 following his selection by the Oakland A’s in the 18th round of the First-Year Player Draft out of Alvernia College.
