The Indians put some cash in their pockets on Thursday, sending minor league outfielder Cameron Maybin to the New York Yankees for cash considerations.
The Tribe inked Maybin to a minor league deal back on March 29th. The Yankees are in desperate need for help with a number of key players like Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks, Clint Frazier and Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list.
Maybin hit .216 in 67 plate appearances with the Indians AAA club in Columbus.
The 12-year vet has played with seven teams, and spent most of the spring with with San Francisco Giants before coming to the Tribe on a minor league deal.
