Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard was removed from today’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies in the sixth inning, and the team is stating that he’s suffering form right pectoral tightness.
Clippard was pitching in the 6th inning, and according to MLB.com Indians reporter Mandy Bell, the veteran reliever threw a breaking ball and right away looked down at his arm, and appeared to be in pain.
He was removed from the game right after the incident.
“We’re gonna have to see. He doesn’t think it’s very serious,” Indians manager Terry Francona said via Bell after the game.
