Indians Reliever Andrew Miller Throws Another Bullpen Session as He Closes in on a Return

CLEVELAND – Indians relief pitcher Andrew Miller took another step forward on Saturday, and it sounds like he’s getting closer to getting back to being able to pitch on the big league roster for the AL Central leading Indians.

Indians manager Terry Francona said today via a tweet from MLB.com’s Jordan Basitan that Miller threw a bullpen session that lasted 20 pitches, and that the session went well.

Miller will likely go at it again on Monday, and while it’s already been determined that he won’t pitch with the Indians till after the All-Star break, it’s another good sign that he’s getting close to being Major League ready.
