Indians’ rally comes up short in 7-4 loss to Minnesota Twins

The Indians fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-4 Saturday afternoon in Bruce Chen’s first start with the team.

Chen (0-1) was hit hard, as he lasted only four innings and allowed six earned runs.

The Indians’ offense couldn’t muster much of any offense against Twins starter Phil Hughes (2-4) until the seventh inning, already trailing 7-1.

Nick Swisher (4-for-4) doubled and scored on a Michael Bourn double. David Murphy then hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run to center field to make it 7-4.

Jason Kipnis singled and Michael Brantley and Brandon Moss each walked to load the bases.
