Indians notebook: Zach McAllister, Nick Goody impressing in bullpen; Abraham Almonte to miss 3-5 weeks

CLEVELAND: By many accounts, the Indians have had baseball’s best bullpen this season. But it hasn’t only been because of the dominance of Andrew Miller and Cody Allen in the back-end.

It’s also been because of the relievers in front of them — namely Zach McAllister and Nick Goody — working the middle innings. After Wednesday’s game, McAllister had a 1.02 ERA to go with 21 strikeouts in 15u2154 innings, and Goody has yet to give up an earned run in 15u2153 innings.

Together, they’ve helped to round out the Indians bullpen, making it not only arguably the most talented unit but also the deepest.
