The Cleveland Indians have made an adjustment to their starting rotation, placing Josh Tomlin in the bullpen after just about two months of baseball. Manager Tito Francona announced the move last night.
Tomlin, a pitcher who heavily relies on pitch placement than velocity, has struggled mightily to kick off the 2018 season. He currently holds an 0-4 record and 7.84 ERA through six starts. The 33-year old has also allowed the most home runs so far this year by a starting pitcher with fifteen.
It appears Adam Plutko will get a chance to become the fifth starter with a second start coming this week.
