The Cleveland Indians news cycle is rather slow right now. And I am glad about that considering the whole holiday thing and pies and leftovers and all that.
Before the holiday officially began, a former Indians catcher got himself a nice new deal.
Catcher Yan Gomes and the Washington Nationals are in agreement on a two-year, $10 million deal that will return the veteran to the reigning champions, sources tell ESPN. Gomes caught the final out of the World Series and will rejoin Kurt Suzuki as the Nationals’ catching tandem.

I know plenty of Indians fans who still talk about and root for Yan Gomes, so it is nice to see him get that cash.
