However, with the Indians staring at the playoffs through a plate glass window at the moment, they’re going to need a little bit of help from elsewhere in order to sneak into October.
The Tribe did what they needed to do today: salvage an otherwise abysmal weekend against the Twins by winning 7-5. Shane Bieber struggled, but the bullpen and offense joined forces to carry home the win. It didn’t hurt that the Twins booted four balls, either.
