I have several good things to note about Friday night’s Indians-Royals game, and two bad things.
The good things:
- The Indians scored nine runs off Royals pitching. Nine runs! That’s a lot.
- The Tribe had home runs from Jose Ramirez, Yonder Alonso, and Michael Brantley. Dr. Smooth’s HR was a grand slam, his second of the season.
- Two of the five pitchers the Indians used in the game didn’t allow a single earned run. Zach McAllister was especially effective, facing seven batters over 2u2153 innings and retiring them all.
